Important Things to Know and Do
If you have not done your FASA Form for financial aid you must complete it ASAP!
Go to http://www.fafsa.ed.gov and follow the directions under “Register for a PIN.” Both you and your parent must get separate PIN’s.
Remember: It is time to actively pursue scholarships. LOCAL scholarships are coming DUE. Get them from the Main Office.
Utilize CIS, FastWeb, and Scholarships.com to find scholarships that you may be eligible for. You must apply to receive money for college.
Running Start Meeting: Walla Walla Community College, Clarkston Branch Time and Date to be announced. For sophomores and juniors. Bring your parents.
Housing – If you have been accepted to college and will be living on campus you need to make sure that you have your housing requirements taken care of. Contact the Housing Office on campus for details.

Important Things to Know and Do
It is now time to get online and get a PIN number so you can do your Federal Financial Aid Form (FAFSA) in January. Go to www.pin.ed.gov and follow the directions under “Register for a PIN.” Both you and your parent must get separate PIN’s. Then go to www.fafsa.ed.gov and work on your FAFSA,
Remember: It is time to actively pursue scholarships. Utilize CIS, FastWeb, and Scholarships.com to find scholarships that you may be eligible for. You must apply to receive money for college.

Pay by credit card for application fees. If this is not possible download the college’s application or the universal application, if applicable. Fill it out and mail it with a check or money order to the colleges you are making application to.
Letters of Recommendation – You will need letters of recommendation for both college scholarships as well as certain college admissions requirements. Find three people not related to you that would write you letters of recommendation. Give these people three weeks notice before you need the letter and also provide them with a resume and data sheet of your activities.

IMPORTANT WORKSHOP FOR YOU AND YOUR PARENTS FINANCIAL AID WORKSHOP January 3rd, 7:00p.m. Mrs. Enevold’s Room. You and your parent must bring your FAFSA PIN numbers to this workshop. Also, bring your 2006 tax papers.

College applications should be completed online as much as possible. Pay by credit card for application fees. If this is not possible download the application, fill it out and mail it with a check or money order to the colleges you are making application to.
